Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We have all necessary licenses and insurance for all of our projects. Larger construction projects require special licenses and certifications, and we have trusted members of the landscaping community that we work with for those special cases.

Proper pruning can improve the safety, health, and appearance of trees. Common reasons for pruning include the removal of dead, dying, diseased, and hazardous branches. With a few exceptions, most pruning operations can be performed throughout the year with minimal adverse effect on the health of the tree.

We always recommend replacing every tree removed with at least one new tree, taking into account the soil conditions of the site where the removed tree was located. Soil amendments may be necessary for the success of your newly planted tree.

It’s also important to remember that stumps ground below grade are not completely removed. They are typically ground to just below the surface and up to 12 inches below the surface grade. There will likely be portions of the stump or roots left behind, which may affect the growth of a new tree in that same location.

Permits are required for removing trees in some of the cities surrounding New Jersey Counties. Tree removal permits are always easier to obtain with the help of a certified arborist, who can inspect your tree first.
